Chiral Photonics is the world-leading provider of in-fiber photonics. As a light
routing medium, glass fiber’s benefits are legion. To name but a few -- easy
integration, harsh environment tolerance, flexible form factor, variable
wavelength accommodation, high power handling, low cost, and scalable
manufacturability.
By componentizing the medium itself, our Helica™ product line shares each
and every one of these benefits. Via chirality all of these benefits persist
undiminished throughout the system. Our first Helica products, a family of
sensors, couplers, filters, and lasers, will dramatically improve the
performance and lower the cost of the diverse applications that will utilize
them.
Besides glass, chirality applies to many other media, fully sharing the
respective benefits of those particular media as well. Thus, our polyHelica™
thin-film product line, now under development, applies chirality to a polymer to
yield a flexible, emissive display. At a fraction of the cost, weight, and power
consumption of today’s projection systems, and at a multiple of its contrast,
brightness, and color quality, the polyHelica line promises to enable
tomorrow’s displays.
