Description
New product introduction prototyping, key member of Product Development Team
The ME provides technical support for board development (from design through HVM). Strategic technical interface between PDT's and mfg. Supports new tech development, ensures design for excellence, coordinates NPI build execution, owns ME deliverables, supports product transfers to HVM's, and resolves product mfg issues. Primary responsibilities include board layout, with emphasis on manufacturability, quality and cost reduction.
In this position, you will be supporting a wide variety of mechanical, systems integration, thermal, quality, and manufacturing engineering activities which may include: manu facturing process set-up and assembly support, DFx* analysis, system and/or component mechanical design and/or modification, mechanical drawing and/or documentation generation, system configuration development and/or validation, BOM definition, component selection, material sourcing and/or supplier qualification, mechanical and/or thermal validation. You will also be providing project leadership, working closely with our internal customers, design groups and project and/or manufacturing teams to ensure deliverables meet customer's requirements and expectations, in addition to providing cost effective solutions that balance technical requirements and DFx*.

Board design reviews, DFM, (Design for manufacturing) Manufacturing quality, failure analysis, site readiness for HVM (high volume manufacturing)
