Description
Research and teaching in toxicology can be found on all three campuses, both inside and outside of COEH-affiliated programs. The PhD degree is offered at the Berkeley campus with an emphasis in toxicology (through the Division of Environmental Health Sciences ). The Davis campus has special expertise in inhalation and reproductive toxicology, and awards the MS and PhD degrees in Pharmacology/Toxicology. At UC San Francisco, specialized training is available that leads to eligibility for a Certificate of Added Qualification in Medical Toxicology under the auspices of the American Board of Preventive Medicine. The training is carried out in collaboration with the San Francisco Division of the California Poison Control System. A joint Occupational Medicine and Toxicology training program is also available. The addition of new faculty in toxicology on all three campuses has strengthened research and teaching in this key discipline.
