SpeedKeys is a fast and easy to use ZipCode look up program that "types" address information into any Windows 95, 98, or NT application for you. SpeedKeys can type city names, state abbreviations, Zip codes, area codes, and generate an optional PostNET barcodes with the press of a "Hot Key".
No matter which Windows applications you use (contact management software, databases, word-processors, order entry software...), SpeedKeys ensures faster and accurate address data entry. Best of all SpeedKeys is distributed as a shareware application so you can try SpeedKeys before you purchase it.
Update the database as needed
The SpeedKeys ZipCode database is a regular .mdb file that can be opened and edited in Microsoft Access, therfore you can manually update it as you learn about any changes.
Additional Features
In addition to being a powerful ZipCode lookup program, SpeedKeys also can function as a very simple keyboard enhancer by allowing you to assign long sequences of keystrokes to simple hot keys. SpeedKeys also provides a number of additional features including a "Talking Keys" option as well as handy lookup tables for telephone country codes, state abbreviations and Internet country codes.

Programmers can add all the zip code look up features of SpeedKeys to their own applications by purchasing the source code to SpeedKeys and incorporating it into their own applications.
SpeedKeys was written entirely in Visual Basic 6.0.

SpeedKeys is more than just a reference program, it actually types for you! Simply minimize SpeedKeys window so that it appears as an icon on your screen. Then while you are working in another application, you can pop SpeedKeys open at the press of a "Hot Key" (ex. ALT-Z), perform a lightning fast zip code look up, and then have SpeedKeys automatically type the results of the search (city, state, zip code, area code, etc.) directly into the program you were using when you pressed the Hot Key!
Using SpeedKeys
To type address information into an application using SpeedKeys you simply define a Hot Key that types the information into the appropriate fields. The Hot Keys can be customized to enter data in any format you choose.
