The idea that started Pen & Ink, began with a distaste of what we find in our mailbox everyday... cards, letters, information and offers stuffed uncaringly into envelopes with drab computer generated labels.
Companies, Organizations, even friends and relatives, day after day, send us communications that are so impersonal that we seldom pay attention too them anymore, much less remember the message they contained.
Thus, Pen & Ink was started in September of 2000 by brother and sister team Rob & Marge Boisvert, with the help of 10 friends with attractive and inviting handwriting. Then we began to solicit the corporations that we all received mail from, offering to hand address their mail in an effort to bring the personal touch back into personalization.
With many successes, Pen & Ink expanded and has taken an active role in using personalization for charitable purposes and has worked with organizations such as Camp Heartland, The Boys and Girls Club, and The Courage Center.
Today Pen & Ink has over 100 hand lettering artists with a variety of styles from elegant to masculine, and from calligraphy to industrial styles used on engineering documents. Pen & Ink has an impressive client base, comprised of mainly Fortune 500 corporations and continues to grow. |
