Product Description
The MG-40A is the standard power supply for the new TXU-30 and T-30 transmitters.
Developed especially for field use in rugged areas, it combines light weight with high power by utilizing a standard, widely available rotary engine.
The MG-40A weighs only 400 kg, and thus has a very favorable power-to-weight ratio. It can easily be mounted on a small trailer or in a pickup truck, or even transported by helicopter where access is particularly difficult.
The direct drive eliminates the inefficiency, alignment problems, and wear and tear associated with belt drives.
The MG-40A is a 208 V, 3-phase motor generator rated at 40 kVA.
Where light weight is not the most important factor, the MG-40A can be supplied with standard gasoline or diesel engines, in 60 or 400 Hz configurations and with output voltages of 100 V, 208 V, or higher if requested.
