Built for longevity and ease of operation, S&C System II Modular Metal-Enclosed Switchgear allows customization of line-ups with a broad choice of components and features. Time-tested S&C Power Fuses and manual or power-operated S&C Interrupter Switches are used for superior reliability in switching and protection of medium-voltage circuits. Available in ratings 4.16 kV through 34.5 kV, it's ideally suited to commercial, institutional, industrial, and high-rise installations.
System II Modular Metal-Enclosed Switchgear consists of pre-engineered single-bay modules assembled into configurations that fit most application requirements. Drawing preparation and approval times are minimized, and you gain all the economies of repetitive manufacture. When modular switchgear won't fully satisfy the requirements, S&C's experienced team of specialists will design Custom Metal-Enclosed Switchgear perfect for the application.
System II Modular Metal-Enclosed Switchgear features:
Rugged 11-gauge steel enclosures.
UL listing for most switchgear rated through l3.8 kV with 600- or 1200-ampere main bus.
One- or two-time duty-cycle fault closing ratings.
One-cycle minimum total clearing of high fault currents with S&C SM and SML Power Fuses.
Choice of unique response curves with S&C Electronic Power Fuses.
Sophisticated, pre-engineered automatic source-transfer controls.
Three-phase load protection — S&C open-phase detection relays and overcurrent relays isolate three-phase loads from single-phasing and other open-phase conditions.
Single-phase load protection — fuses, unlike circuit breakers, selectively isolate only faulted phases of feeders serving single-phase loads.
Low purchase cost compared to metal-clad gear.
Light weight — easier to handle than metal-clad gear.
Broad range of choices in custom switchgear — circuit breakers, electronic meters, vacuum switches, and other devices can be furnished.
