Product Description
The SST-300 is a single casing steam turbine, providing geared drive to a 1500 or 1800 rpm generator and packaged in a skid-mounted design. Its modular package design allows a wide variety of configurations to satisfy the industrial customers individual needs in the most economical way. Operational capability
The single body turbine with horizontal joint flange has a symmetrical casing, which allows short start-up times and quick load changes. The design of all supports for labyrinths and blade carriers allows flexibility for the whole turbine.
Internal valve arrangements, controlling the steam flow to the back end of the turbine, are used to maintain constant process steam extraction pressures over a wide flow range. The SST-300 rotor is of solid forging, and is fitted with resonance-proof blading, the reliability of which is further enhanced by a combination of shrouded blade tips and low static steam-bending stresses that keep the total stress load on the blades to acceptable levels.
The reduction gears are taken from the existing range of world class gear manufacturers and have proven high reliability and performance.
For generator drives
The components of the turboset are installed on a common base frame, also including the components of the oil system. The oil tank is inside the base frame. All instrumentation is pre-wired to junction boxes located at the front of the frame.
The number of external connections is reduced to the minimum; all connections (piping, wiring, etc.) are clearly defined.
The SST-300 base frame packaged unit can either be placed on a simple ground level concrete block foundation or on an elevated foundation.
The SST-300 series can be equipped with upward, downward or axial exhaust orientation to fit with the selected installation arrangement.
For mechanical drives
For mechanical drive applications the turbine and auxiliaries are mounted on a base frame, which is instrumented and wired. Mechanical drive units are designed in accordance with API (American Petroleum Institute) standards.
