With the acquisition of Trestad Svets AB, formerly a key supplier to Siemens, and its integration into Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB in Sweden, Siemens now encompasses in-house manufacture of combustors for its mid-size industrial gas turbines. Whilst prioritizing combustors for the increasing number of such turbines leaving the Siemens workshops, the unit in Trollhättan will also continue to deliver to its external customers. The unit’s specialization is the manufacturing of products in stainless steel, high grade and heat resistant alloys. A cornerstone of the combustor manufacturing philosophy is the concept of partnership. By working together with its customers from the very beginning, the unit is able to provide complete solutions for their needs, from blueprint to finished product, and also aftermarket services. 85% of the unit’s services are dedicated to component production for the gas turbine industry, where the expertise of the staff contributes to efficient production with benefits in terms of quality, price and lead time.
