The SGT-600 turbine is a compact, low-weight heavy-duty industrial gas turbine, nominally rated in the 25-MW class, with 34.2% open-cycle efficiency. The SGT-600 is designed as a compact, twin-shaft unit suitable for electrical and mechanical drive applications. It is also an ideal unit for cogeneration and combined cycle plants because of its excellent exhaust heat data. The SGT-600 meets the need for heavy-duty equipment able to meet the requirements for low life-cycle costs, i.e. low first cost, low fuel costs and low costs for operation and maintenance. It has been developed for a wide variety of applications, including combined cycle operation, cogeneration, mechanical drives and marine propulsion. Designed specifically for continuous service, the unit offers long life, easy on-site maintenance and a wide fuel range capability - from liquid fuel to natural gas. Its compactness makes it suitable for offshore installations as well as for retrofitting in existing installations. The standard scope of supply of the SGT-600 is complete with noise attenuation, auxiliary systems, control and electrical systems.
