Product Description
The SGT-500 is a light-weight, high-efficiency, heavy-duty industrial gas turbine in the 15-20 MW power range. The special design features of the SGT-500 make it ideal for economical base-load power generation. The turbine has many applications where high availability, ease of maintenance and fuel flexibility are important - for example, in industry, in marine propulsion and in the offshore sectors. It allows easy maintenance on-site, where complete modules can be swiftly exchanged. The SGT-500 runs quietly and without smoke regardless of the fuel type used. Roomy and well designed combustors ensure smoke-free combustion of most types of liquid or gas fuel. The turbine satisfies the most stringent noise requirements and present regulations for emissions of NOx (nitrogen oxides). On single fuel turbines a dry, low-emission combustor system maintains NOx emissions below 25 ppmv (15% O2) on gas fuel and below 50 ppmv (15% O2) on liquid fuel. On dual fuel turbines water or steam can be injected into the combustor section to reduce the NOx level.
