Our range of combined-cycle reference plants combines the economical benefits of a pre-engineered power plant design with high flexibility through a wide range of options to meet customer requirements.

The plant design base provides power producers with a complete power plant solution featuring a low complexity combined-cycle power plant in Single shaft or Multi shaft configuration according to the required output.

The combined cycle plant is an integration of two prime movers; the gas turbine and the steam turbine combining many of the advantages of the both. It can provide large amounts of power on short notice with its quick start-up time. It has a short delivery time, a low heat rate, and its capital cost is an effective compromise between pure gas and steam turbines.

n combination with an upstream gasification plant combination cycle power plant technology can also be applied for non-conventional fuels such as coal, petroleum coke or liquid refinery residues. This combination of technologies is called IGCC. Siemens has supplied products for a wide range of IGCC applications and has accumulated over 320,000 total hours of operation on syngas.
