Product Name: Air Foil

Product Description

Robinson heavy-duty airfoil fans: Designed, engineered and tested for airstreams requiring high efficiency and quiet operation. Induced Draft and Forced Draft Service Heat Recovery Incineration Air Pollution Waste-to-Energy Boiler Operations Fluidized Bed Combustion Air Process Air Used for a wide range of applications in many industries, AF fans are designed, engineered and tested for use in airstreams where high efficiency and quiet operation are required. They are used extensively for continuous service to 850°F in forced and induced draft applications in the metals, chemical, power generation, paper, rock products, glass, resource recovery, incineration and other industries throughout the world. Designed for Variable Speed Applications Robinson’s AF Series fans are also designed for use with variable-speed motors. The additional design considerations and requirements of such applications are taken into account during fan development and construction. For more information, call your Robinson representative or the Zelienople Headquarters . Research, Engineering and Testing Like all Robinson products, AF fans are built with quality materials by skilled, experienced craftsmen for reliability and longevity. This level of quality is a result of ongoing research and testing in Robinson’s own lab facilities. Robinson builds prototype fans and tests them for air performance and sound. Finite element stress analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and resonant frequency testing are other procedures used regularly to help Robinson engineers “design in” optimum reliability and performance. This, together with extensive field experience, provides Robinson with the information and expertise to engineer fans that satisfy the requirements of individual applications and service conditions. Performance Capabilities and Features Robinson AF fans are custom engineered and built to accommodate capacities to over one million cfm and pressure ranges through 90 inches static pressure. Robinson builds AF wheels to 180 inches diameter, custom engineers single and double-inlet arrangements and, where applicable, constructs units of special alloy materials. Quality Assurance Robinson’s experienced quality control department with in-house expertise in nondestructive testing includes: Magnetic particle inspection Ultrasonic testing Dye-penetrant testing Radiographic (X-ray) testing Vibrational resonance testing and modal analysis Dynamic strain gauge testing Computer finite element stress analysis Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Fan Repair Services – at the factory or in the field Robinson airfoil fans are backed by excellent field service and convenient repair/rebuild centers. The Robinson network is equipped to repair and service air-moving equipment of any type, by any manufacturer. Robinson repair and rebuild services are cost effective and can provide years of additional service from even the most damaged or out-of-date equipment. Fans ravaged by industrial gases, dust, chemicals or other materials can be restored and improved. Robinson upgrades can transform inefficient fans into high-efficiency equipment that continues to save you money in operational expenses. To find out how we can add years to the life of your fans, send for Repair Bulletin 553 . Or call our 24-hour hotline for immediate service.
