Air Jacks are extremely useful and easy to use for lifting heavy machinery, equipment or fabrications. The following photo shows a J2424 air jack with handle being inserted under a double table CNC router. The router is to be raised approximately 3 inches to allow air caster insertion under the frame. The J2424 air jack is only 7/8 inch thick and for instance can lift a 29,000 pound load over 10 inches on a single stroke.
In the above case the frame under the machine was a flat surface. However with many machines a perimeter frame exists as shown below. To optimize the jack performance a steel plate is recommended to spread the load over the surface area.
