The long running Safety Technology range of zener safety barriers is still maintained for spares and replacements and for small extension to existing plant capacities. They should not be specified for new installations. A number of the barriers in the range now carry the suffix "A". This was introduced for certification requirements, involving a change to the internal constructional details; this does not change the electrical parameters for replacement purposes.
