Product Description
These highly versatile single and double channel switch repeaters are suitable for use with contacts with or without end-of-line (EOL) resistors, and with NUMUR proximity switches. They feature three port isolation together with comprehensive DIL switch selection of operating and fault options. There are both relay output and electronic output versions available.
WIS1200
There are numerous models available in this range. The most common is the basic
four terminal interfaces suitable for in-line use in the majority of
straightforward installations or solenoids, audible alarms or visual alarms.
Units can also be provided with Enable and Override controls inputs and having
the ability to provide a reverse polarity output in response to a separate input
signal. The WIS1221 provides a double channel driver in the same compact
housing.
WIS1311
These units feature three-port isolation and are suitable for use with all
standard 2-wire process transmitters designed for use with 28V, 300ohm, 93mA
interfaces. Separate terminals are provided for inputs from self-powered 4-20mA
sources, these terminals having the characteristics of simple apparatus-
eliminating the need for system compatibility considerations. The model WIS1312
provides bi-directional communications between a field SMART transmitter and
safe area communications equipment, while both models feature excellent response
characteristics.
WIS1411
This interface is suitable for almost all analogue output duties in Group II
hazards, including positioners, converters and indicating instruments. The
provision of three-port isolation adds valuable application flexibility, while
the particularly high output compliance allows two or more field devices to be
driven in series from the one interface if the application demands. The good
all-round performance specification includes excellent dynamic response and a
wide operating supply voltage range.
WIS1611
This microprocessor controlled temperature converter provides an isolation
interface for hazardous area thermocouples or RTD sensors and customer specified
ranges may be easily programmed in the factory. The units deliver a linear
4-20mA output corresponding to the chosen temperature range, and millivolt input
settings are also available to cater for low level transducer signals of many
types.
E1500
These isolation interfaces have been introduced as an alternative to
zener barriers for use with the
RTK Multiplexer systems in earth-free installations. These units may also be
used in the input connections to some intrinsically safe pulse counters, in
which application they feature a bandwidth of 0-10kHz typical.
