Proven in the harshest marine environments and available in capacities ranging from 30-250T. Standard manual release design allows upgrade to enable remote hook release and load monitoring. The basic starting point to any mooring system offering improved safety, Harbour Marine Quick Release Hooks are available in capacities ranging from 30 to 250T, with or without integrated electric capstans. Hooks can be released manually or remotely and can incorporate load pins for optional computer-based mooring line tension monitoring systems. Advantages Each hook can be released at its rated load under a fully elastic line A force of less than 20 kg (40 lbs.) is required to release the hook at full load The hook is counter balanced to facilitate resetting and the release mechanism can be reset in a single action The hook can accommodate full rated loads at line inclinations up to 55° above the horizontal Designed for hazardous or non-hazardous locations. For hazardous locations, hooks are supplied non-sparking and electrically insulated, whilst capstans and controls are certified for Class 1, Zone 1 or Zone 2 areas Every hook is tested and certified by an independent testing authority up to 150% of rated capacity Hook support structures can be custom designed to suit specific bolt patterns or of weld down design to suit steel foundation structures
