Product Description

In-line Flexo - Flexographic images are created as water-based inks are transferred from a polymer raised-type plate through direct contact with uncoated paper. Flexo printers are mounted inside envelope folders to provide an efficient manufacturing and printing process.
For uncoated papers only, 4 outside and 1 inside spot color(s), no process builds, PMS and logo matches, type and line copy, some screens, solids, halftones and bleeds. Today, ColorTree’s flexo image quality is comparable to that of a high quality desk-top printer.
Flexo is an evolving technology. Advancement in pre-press, plate making, ink chemistry / dispensing, and press design lead to constantly improving image quality.
Offset- Offset image is created chemically using water-repellent inks transferred to a dampened metal plate then ‘offset’ to a rubber blanket which applies the ink to the paper.
Sheet-fed
Highest image quality and registration. For coated and uncoated paper - spot and logo match colors and 4 color process builds, full bleeds, halftones, screens, tight register, aqueous coatings and varnishes.
Sheets are printed and then die–cut into blanks. Blanks are then folded on blank-fed folders. Sheet-fed offset image quality is superior to that of flexo or ‘jet’ offset processes.
Jet
A small off-line offset press designed to over-print pre-made envelopes. Pull from stock and print. Uncoated stock only. Can print up to 2 PMS or logo colors, front and back, fine line screens, halftones, medium coverage, close traps and registration with partial bleed.
Jet printing offers very good image quality, low minimums and fast delivery on standard envelopes. Custom envelopes can also be Jet printed.
