The UK contractor was in one of those difficult situations that projects sometimes throw up. In order to restart the diesel system they needed some valves on a very urgent basis. 6 check valves.This is how our client described the order: “The requisition was received by the vendor on Friday AM, the response was immediate. The valves were found ex-stock, however they required machining of the socket ends.The purchase order fulfilment including documentation was equally expedient, the orders for machining and carriage were managed such that the material was available for despatch Friday PM for a Saturday AM delivery at the fabrication site. On the back of the excellent management of a relatively small but critical order, the project was placed in a position to restart works on the diesel system and fulfil its obligations to the client"
