Doel Engineering Ltd specialise in the design and manufacture of custom Web Converting Machines. The company have designed and manufactured web converting machines to convert most non-wovens from a roll into sheet form, materials like Inkjet Paper, Laser Paper, Films, Photographic Products, Tissue Backed Products, Absorbent Products, Polyester, PVC, Foam, Paint-brush Pads and Felt among others. We manufacture both rotary sheeting machines and intermediate sheeting machines. Our rotary sheeting machines work at speeds up to 500 cuts per minute to an accuracy of ±0.5mm depending on the material and length of sheet to be produced. Sheet lengths can be within the range of 100mm to 500mm with a ratio of 2½ to 1 between the minimum and maximum length required. Material up to a thickness of 400 gsm can be cut. Rotary shear slitting is available as an addition if required, also available as additions are a suitable layboy and / or other stacking mechanisms. The rotary sheeting machine can be produced as a stand alone unit with an unwind stand or as a retro fitted unit onto existing reel to reel printing machinery. The stand alone version incorporates unwind tension control and pivot frame steering. The unwind stand allows rolls of up to 1500mm diameter to be used on a 6 inch cantilevered air shaft with roll lift facility up to 1000 kilo's. Our high accuracy intermediate machines perform at speeds up to 90 cuts per minute producing A4 length sheets to an accuracy of ±0.1mm, generating 1250 sheets per minute direct into packaging. A standard machine can handle a web of 1600mm wide although this can differ depending on customer requirements
