OVERVIEW: - The model ATT with FOUNDATION™ fieldbus is an accurate, stable, and reliable temperature transmitter, which fully complies with the 31.25kbps voltage mode FOUNDATION™ fieldbus. Its built-in AI function blocks provide process variables to devices on the Fieldbus network and its PID control function block enables process control from the field. Since the model ATT has been FOUNDATION™ approved, it will operate seamlessly with other FOUNDATION™ approved field devices as well as different host systems for a wide range of control applications. This document includes the DD and CF of model ATT60/70. DD and CF: - DD (Device Description): • A critical characteristic required of fieldbus device is interoperability. • DD provides information needed for a control system or host to understand the meaning of the data in the VFD (Virtual Field Device) including the human interface for functions such as calibration and diagnostics. DD can be thought of as a driver for the device, which are similar to printer drivers for your computer. CF (Capability File): • It consists of headings that organize the data,and assignment statement lines of the form Parameter (or variable name) = Value, where Value has the format required by Parameter (as defined by the Device Description), and may be expressed as a range of values.
