Product Description

Grenadier Beyond Line-of-Sight Reporting and Tracking System

Grenadier Beyond Line-of-Sight Reporting and Tracking (BRAT) system The Grenadier BRAT (GB) is a small transmitter carried by individuals that communicates with satellites to let commanders follow movements of forces and supplies in near-real time anywhere in the battlespace, even when they are out of physical viewing range. The GB equips field commanders with minute details to make fast-tempo operational decisions.

Capabilities

The phantom GB lets everyone know what is happening as it happens and where it happens.

  • Portable, compact (6" x 6" x 3"), lightweight (5 lb.) transponder can be used in numerous stationary and mobile configurations, including man-carried or mounted on military vehicles or aircraft
  • Provides vital position data to aircraft, ships, ground forces and command centers via secure encrypted communications
  • Can detect and process short-duration burst signals in extremely harsh weather and terrains
  • Counteracts signal reflection and multi-path radiation in difficult radio frequency (RF) areas
  • Flexible and quick responding to rapidly changing threat environments

The rugged GB gives field commanders the ability to track and communicate with friendly forces deep on the battlefield or behind enemy lines with near-zero interception or detection:

  • GB system includes a transponder, interactively user-controlled hand-held terminal (HHT), small (3.5" ) UHF transmit antenna and Global Positioning System (GPS) receiving antenna.
  • Internal integrated circuit cards control the GB tracker unit, providing GPS position location and secure communication.
  • GB calculates position information via satellites and transmits this data, along with unit identification and brevity code, via a covert output wave signal.

With no ground-based line-of-sight limitations, the Grenadier Brat penetrates time, space and distance to maximize warfighter safety and rescue.
