The system of mailing accounts through the network of mailing accounts ensures postal orders and payments between the private individuals as well as the legal entities who sell products and services, carry out payrolls, and settle other mutual payments in cash, by payment orders, warrants, and special payment documents prepared in advance. The objective of the mailing accounts center is to render following services: payment services; client accounts servicing; special payment services. The client settlement accounts servicing is ensured by rendering following services: sending account statements, information notes, reminders, warnings to the clients; issuing the means of payment to the clients; blocking the means of payment and settlement account; changing client’s registered information according to the client’s application. The mailing accounts center renders special payment services to its clientele to effect special settlements or payments. There are following special payment services: · regular installments: agreement between a legal entity and the Latvian Post for using the accounts system to effect payments from individuals and institutions to the client’s account; · regular outlays: agreement between a legal entity and the Latvian Post for using the accounts system to effect the client’s regular payments through the settlement system account to settle accounts with other individuals or legal entities.
