Integrated Defense Systems' Advanced Systems group is an integrated
team that works with the three IDS Businesses to help them develop advanced
cross-cutting concepts and technologies to respond to evolving needs of
customers and to address potential new markets. The unit includes advanced
programs, pursues new business and executes new programs prior to their reaching
the System Design and Development phase. In close collaboration with Phantom
Works, Boeing's advanced research and development unit, Advanced Systems
develops and transitions advanced programs into the IDS business areas and
ultimately to IDS' defense and space customers.
