We are a large shop, but not the largest. Some orders are just too large for us to manufacture efficiently. In these cases we can transition your boards offshore. We have established alliances with a number of offshore facilities. By interfacing with their Engineering Team, Proto will insure that the boards they manufacture will perform identically to your prototypes. You can continue to place your orders with us. We will accept delivery of your boards from offshore, inspect them, stock and ship to you. We will even guarantee these boards as if we manufactured them ourselves. If a short fall occurs, we can supplement the offshore facility and manufacture boards in quickturn. Proto Engineering is in a far better position to gauge whether or not a PCB manufactured offshore is acceptable. As you know, the alternative of discovering that you have problem boards AFTER production can be devastating.
