Product Description

The United States Post Office (USPS) maintains a database of every deliverable address in the United States. Using specially designed software, we match every address in your mailing against our in-house copy of this extensive database, guaranteeing the deliverability of every mailing piece to the best of our ability. At the same time, the software standardizes all abbreviations (such as 'St' for 'Street', 'Rd' for 'Road', etc.) and reorganizes the address to match USPS addressing standards. The combination of these two processes helps to insure the best possible match rates during Duplicate Elimination, since we perform these processes before matching. When the addresses are correct and standardized, they are easier to compare and more likely to match when duplicates exist. Additionally, the USPS requires this processing in order to qualify for certain Pre-Sort discounts. CASS processing must have been done within 90 days of mailing for Carrier-Route Coded pieces or 180 days of mailing for non-Carrier-Route Automation-Compatible pieces. (DMM A950.3.1) Given all the benefits and the USPS requirements, CASS processing has become a standard part of every job we run.
