GPS is a new line of Alcan Baltek composite core materials uniquely designed for use in closed molding processes.
Special grooves and perforations (holes) in GPS facilitate fast, uniform resin distribution in any infusion process. This unique configuration results in increased resin flow rate along with lower resin absorption and better cosmetics. Using GPS eliminates the need for disposable surface media or expensive additional interlaminar flow material. Proper use of GPS can result in a dramatic decrease of part infusion time for faster production.
With EPA regulations looming and the drive for higher production rates with greater quality, composite fabricators are increasingly choosing closed molding
