Regenerative CSD Spindrive

Product Name: Regenerative CSD Spindrive

Product Description

Regenerative CSD Spindrive CSD SERIES SPINDRIVE E.C.S. has created a line of converters called ECS SPINDRIVE, that include drives with analogue reference, with digital reference and asynchronous induction motors. The powers range available is from 7,5KW to 58KW, in S1, and is therefore able to fulfil a wide range of applications both in the Machine Tool field (spindle) and in general automation. The drives with analogue reference and with digital reference use SMT technology, meaning that they have compact and highly reliable electronic subassemblies. The CSD series SPINDRIVE line includes regenerative drives (with braking energy recovery by mains supply) and not regenerative drives (with braking energy recovery by resistance). CSD SPECIFICATIONS – REGENERATIVE DRIVES Regenerative drives represent the state of the art in the power motion industry and specifically for Spindle applications for Machine Tools. The solution proposed by ECS is based on modular systems composed of separate Regenerative Power System and Control Unit. The systems can be configured with both analog and digital Sercos® interface. Thus these systems can be directly connected to three phase mains with voltages between 380 –10% and 480 + 10% and frequencies between 48 and 62 Hz. The use of regenerative units, in addition to preventing the dissipation of heat produced during the braking phase, due to an internal DC Bus stabilised at 750V, also ensures greater use of the motor. The motor has been specifically “coiled” for these voltage values and thus makes it possible to distribute higher powers (with the same distributed current) compared with what can be obtained with a 540V BUS (typical of the devices which simply rectify the input 380VAC). By using the Sercos® interface, the motor will be controlled during all the phases requiring it to be fixed in position (for example in the positioning phase), directly by the drive thus employing an extremely reduced sampling time (250 microseconds). Also with a SERCOS® interface the drive is already supplied with a “second transducer” input able to manage both 0-5V differential and sinusoidal (1Vpp) encoder signals. Integration of an interpolation module makes it possible to use transducers with less “native” resolution, but equipped with sinusoidal signals. Therefore they can be directly interfaced with phonic wheels (for example those produced by the German firm Lenord + Bauer). A mains filter is included in the supply (to meet current EMC standards) and inductance suitable for the direct and maximum current of the power supply, as well as all the accessories required for correct interconnection of the two modules.
