Designed specifically for producing closed end mailers, the all new Scheffer high speed Inline Inserter consists of a pattern gluer section, a
pre-cutter section, and a tape driven plow folding section.
The unit is fed by a single web slit into two ribbons. The top ribbon contains the finished product that will be inserted into the envelope. The bottom ribbon contains the material that will make up the envelope.
In operation, the top ribbon is trimmed at the head and the foot and then inserted into a corresponding glue outline on the bottom ribbon. The bottom ribbon is then plow folded or "wrapped" around the trimmed product thereby forming a sealed envelope. Finally, the sealed package continues on to a Scheffer Series III rotary cutter for final trimming and delivery.
