The following pertains to existing customers only, who are currently running the DOS software and a DOS 3 Axis control(Micro Motion, Path Wizard, or Micro Path), and wish to upgrade their system to windows. A trial version of our Windows software is available for download. Please be advised that it is for evaluation porposes only, and will not run your Direct Motion Machine Tool. Direct Motion 3 Axis Windows Upgrade includes: Pentium II 500 MHz PC with 64 megs of RAM; 6 Gig Hard Drive; CD ROM; Windows 98. Custom PC double chip interface card Direct Motion Windows 95/98 CAD/CAM/CNC Software Program, installed Hand Held Pendant Control 3 to 1 Adapter Plug 1 Year Parts Only Warranty/User Serviceable System This upgrade is considered to be a partial upgrade only because we are not replacing the motors and amplifiers. If your existing motors and amplifiers are running properly, this partial upgrade should work just fine, but because it is a partial upgrade, we cannot guarantee it. We have successfully completed this partial upgrade for several other customers. The Windows software will read DOS files. The hand held pendant only runs with the Windows software. Both the DOS and the Windows software can be installed on the computer upon request. The cost of the 3 Axis partial upgrade is $5,000 (plus shipping). The DOS software, and the control hardware that was sold with the DOS software is outdated. We currently support neither. A motor or amplifier failure on a DOS control would require a control hardware upgrade. The cost to upgrade your motors and amplifiers would be $8,000 (plus shipping).
