Product Description
Braided Fiberglass sleeving is useful for reinforcing tubing or creating fully composite tubing. With no seam, strength is 100% continuous throughout entire tube, along with no irregularities on the surface. Braid can be applied over existing paper, phenolic or other materials to thoroughly strengthen them, or over a mandrel and release layer for all fiberglass tubing. Much cheaper than carbon Aerosleeves, Fiberglass is useful where rigidity is not needed, but strength or flexibility is. Excellent when used in conjunction with either Carbon or Carbon/Kevlar sleeves if you want a super stiff tube. 2 layers of fiberglass sleeving create a slightly flexible tubing, but extremley strong and resilant to damage tubing. Once applied over desired tubing or mandrel, material simply needs to be wetted out with a quality laminating resin and cured. Use either one layer for reinforcing tubing, or two layers for creating fiberglass tubing.
