Dual winding drumheads mounted horizontally, in tandem with pneumatic belt tensioning system. Mandrel provided in required diameter. Variable line speed control to winding drums through ac variable frequency controller. Operator controls are pre-wired and easily accessible. Winding for up to three plies available. Extra charge for third ply unwind and glue station as well as infeed rollers and turn bars.
Core saw heavy duty welded steel angle and flat plate construction on a stand-alone unit with primer/sealer and painted finish. Saw tooth type cutoff is actuated by photo eye set at desired cut distance. the cutoff length tolerance will hold to +/-3/16 for continuous production runs of cores suitable for your high speed winder throughput. Blade is directly driven by single speed high rpm motor. Carriage mounted unit rides on linear bearings. Unit cams into cutting position and travels along with the core as they are made, to provide continuous motion during production. Unit retracts at end of cut cycle and phases back to initial position. pre-wired with plug-in circuit to main winder unit. Blade guarded for operator protection w/ easy hinged access panel with micro switch e-stop safety enclosure. Winder line provided with:(2) position unwind stand for 60 od rolls. Single position glue pot stand for cold application glue. Winder unit with mandrel sized as required. Cutoff saw unit with saw tooth type cutoff. Roll off / photo eye target table Additional: chain conveyer to bring cores up to aprox. 8 height and discharge into a core hopper provided by customer. Pickup speed to match output of winder line. start stop drive control mounted in winder drive cabinet. Sensors for trough jam up, full hopper. Option to install reject gate should hopper signal full.
