Major body parts are machined on the latest CNC equipment to precise
manufacturing tolerances from drop forged alloy steel. The resulting reliability
and durability ensure that CompAir tools have many years of trouble free
operation.
Maximum operator protection
Vibration reduced models prevent as much as 85% of vibrations from being
transmitted from the tool to the user, providing protection from such hazards as
vibration white finger. These lightweight machines have been designed to
withstand the extreme demands of the plant hire industry.
Legislation and guidelines
On the 25th June 2002, Directive 2002/44/EC on the minimum health and safety
requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from
physical agents (vibration) was published in the official Journal of the
European Communities.
This directive specifies an action level of 2.5 m/s2 and a limit
level of 5 m/s2 for each other hand arm vibration exposure, based on
the sum of 3-axes vibration - often referred to as \'root-sum-of-squares\',\'rss\'
or \'vector sum\' and came into force throughout the EEC from 6th July 2005.
