eliminate any hazards. Indeed, not everybody realises this but you cannot use
just any normal torch in an Ex area.
In our range of explosion proof torches, you will certainly find the right
torch for your application. From small LED torches for inspection purposes to
big, bright, rechargeable torches ideally suited to emergency services such as
fire brigades, we have it all.
LED Torches & Handlamps
The
Lite-Ex KL 10 Intrinsically Safe Headlamp is equipped with a 0.5W
power LED and a 2-part elasticated strap which guarantees a comfortable and
secure fit either onto a helmet or direct onto the head.
The
LED 30 Intrinsically Safe torch has 3 bright LEDs, is compact and
lightweight, and has been approved for use in zone 0, making it ideal for
inspections in areas with, for instance, hydrogen.
The
Ex-PL30 is a true revolution when it comes to LED explosion proof torches.
Its high performance single LED light provides 4000 Lux. It comes in a robust
housing, with an IP rating of 65 and has been ATEX certified for both zone 0 and
20. All this, coupled with its easy of operation, make this the torch of choice
in any hazardous industrial environment.
Rechargeable Torches & Handlamps
The
rechargeable torch L-10 , will put in the hands of the fire fighter a real
lighting tool specifically designed for any intervention helmet. Its
state-of-the-art lithium-ion rechargeable battery ensures a long light duration
whilst keeping the weight and size down.Another one of our Intrinsically Safe
torches that has been developed with firefighters in mind, the
L-100 rechargeable safety torch is extremely robust - and it can be fitted
to a fireman's helmet. It is manufactured with highly resistant thermoplastic
resin and its protection level is a very high IP67.
The brand new
L2000 rechargeable safety torch is now a lot lighter than its predecessor
and comes in two versions. It has retained the swivelling head design for a
“hands free” use when carried in the jacket or in the belt, or it can just be
used as a conventional torch.
The L2000 intrinsically safe torches now either comes with two halogen bulbs
with an average life of up to 300 hours or in an LED version. The two bulbs give
different light types: a long range focused luminous beam with the main bulb and
a scattered beam for short distances with the auxiliary bulb, and the version
with LED lights is virtually indestructible.
The
SHL 100-Ex intrinsically safe handlamp is an ideal cost effective
solution for a rugged, explosion protected rechargeable Handlamp.
Our latest and best rechargeable handlamp, the
Lite-Ex SHL 300 is a robust explosion proof handlamp designed for industrial
applications or for fire-fighting in potentially explosive areas of Zones 0 and
20. With its rugged and robust design, IP rating of 65, and its 3 high power
LEDs giving an output of 9000 Lux, this is without a doubt the Rolls Royce of Ex
handlamps!
Halogen Torches
The
Lite-Ex 15/25 Series is the ultimate range of Intrinsically Safe Torches -
with handy features such as adjustable beam focus, anti-roll device and
integrated spare bulb. Housed in a solid metal casing that has integral rubber
rings that provide a sure grip in the hazardous area.Another one of our
Intrinsically Safe Torches designed and suitable for use in Ex-hazardous areas
even under arduous conditions. The
HD10 Rubber Cased Torch is a robust, shockproof torch, ideal for your tool
box.
Little Gadgets that can save your Life
The ISL 200-Ex or 400-Ex
Intrinsically Safe Inspection Lamp is especially suited to
time-intensive maintenance and repair work. The units emit a uniform, bright
light which greatly improves the working environment whilst helping to reduce
fatigue in explosion-prone areas.
The
Lite-Ex LED 8 is a compact, robust and easily operated LED pocket torch for
close range lighting in Exhazardous areas of Zones 2 and 1.
If you need to point something out that is difficult to access in the Ex area.
The
laser beam pointer is the size of a normal ballpen, you can carry this with
you wherever you go.
This
intrinsically safe flashing indicator indicates the exact position of a
person or warns of a dangerous area in Ex-hazardous areas of zones 0 and 1. It
is small, lightweight, rugged and its beam is spread over a 30 degree angle.

SA Ex Instruments started in 2004 as a family business, run by Steven and
Adrien De Becker.
