Product Description

The DMC-FX55's slim camera body incorporates a high-performance lens. The bright, minimal-distortion 3.6x optical zoom f/2.8 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens offers superb image-rendering performance to depict the 28mm wide-angle world with corner-to-corner clarity.
The 3.6x optical zoom ratio can be extended up to 5.7x (35mm equivalent: 159.6mm) at resolutions of 3-megapixel or less.

High image quality, high speed response, low energy consumption. The Venus Engine III is able to achieve a longer battery life of approx. 280 pictures on a single charge*.

The large, 3.0Inch LCD adds extra ease and convenience to both shooting and viewing. The FX55 features the Intelligent LCD function. Under bright sunlight, this function increases the backlight brightness. In dark places, it makes the subject brighter and easier to see.

By simply inserting an SD/SDHC Memory Card into an HDTV equipped with an SD slot, you can enjoy viewing pictures of family and friends, and images of memorable moments with High Definition 1920 x 1080 pixels. It turns your living room into a photo gallery, and gather around to share the excitement.
