The SpectroStar is a single resonant optical parametric oscillator. Pumped by
a VersaDisk thin disk laser, it produces more than 3W cw power around 3 µm. The
attainable working range is between 2.2 µm and 5.2 [6] µm.
The SpectroStar has a robust design with a proven double Z ring resonator.
Besides the idler wavelength, the signal wavelength and residual pump wavelength
are accessible as well.
With additional optical elements, the SpectroStar emits single frequency
radiation.
