Product Description
Operation
A sample of water to be measured is placed inside a glass jar in which a tritium in air measuring electret ion chamber is located. The glass jar is sealed to develop a saturated humidity condition inside the jar. By measuring the tritiated water vapor concentration, it is possible to calculate tritium in water. Specificity/Sensitivity:
A concentration of 0.42 microCi per ml of water can be measured in 1 day with 10% precision. Using 960 ml chamber, the minimum measurable concentration is 0.084 micro Ci per ml in one day. Applications include measurement of tritium in contaminated water and waste streams. Because of relatively low sensitivity, the method is suitable for measuring relatively high concentrations and for in situ measurements from test wells.

This can be used as an add-on to the tritium system at a cost of about $ 250.
