Product Description

Battelle has extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and operating mission-critical information systems for transportation clients. We developed the U.S. Coast Guard's Marine Safety Information System (MSIS) and the Ship Board Configuration Management System (CM/Plus) and operated the Coast Guard's Operations Systems Center (OSC). We supported the integration of Traveler Information Systems (TIS) for the Federal Highway Administration at several locations nationwide, working with state and local transportation authorities. An innovator in the development and application of Smart Card technology, Battelle has evaluated the potential of this technology for the transit industry. Battelle currently supports the U.S. Department of Transportation's Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in systems integration, information technology engineering, and Year 2000 evaluations.
