Product Description
Polished Coconut Tiles come in an 8" x 8" square or can be cut to accommodate any custom installation. Made from thin die cuts of the outer layer of coconut shells.
Features of Polished Coconut Tile:
Polished Coconut Tiles are natural coconut tiles that have been gently ground down and polished to produce a smooth outer surface of a hard coconut shell. The colors range from dark browns to mustard and tan swirls.
Applications of Polished Coconut Tile:
A wonderful accent piece to floors, walls, or trim work.
Counter tops or borders.
Attractive back splashes in bars, restaurants, or bathrooms.

Special Notes About Polished Coconut Tile:
As with any natural product, it presents shade variations. The variations in color must be seen as normal and actually they are the "real beauty" of the product. The tiles appeal to customers who want to create a different, exotic look in their rooms. It can be combined with the right wallpaper (Asian patterns or exotic fruits) and decor (bamboo furniture, ceiling fans, etc.) This tile can also be used in juxtaposition to metal tile and/or glass to create a very trendy and modern look!
Installation of Polished Coconut Tile:
Since the product is totally natural, it needs special treatment and care.
Seal the coconut tile before and after installation. Apply the first coat before installing. We recommend Matt Sealer & Finish for Stone, Grout and Tile by TileLab.
Use the same thin set used to install ceramic tile and natural stones. We recommend Premixed Tile Adhesive and Grout – Stain and Mildew Resistant.
Coconut tile 8x8: Install each piece next to the other; no grout joint.
After grouting, clean the surface with a soft sponge and water.
After installation, apply 2 coats of sealer.
The coconut tile is not recommended for wet areas or areas in direct contact with water.
Polished Coconut Tile Maintenance:
Clean the coconut tile with soap and water.
Do not use acid or abrasive substances.
Clean with a soft sponge and dry after cleaning.
Apply a sealant after installation and every three months afterwards.
