The Fruto Bamboo Tiles showcase a bamboo trim with a center seed surrounded by imbedded unpolished marble.

Installation of Fruto Bamboo Tile:
It is not necessary to seal this tile, but if you are using around moisture it would be advisable to seal the coconut before and after installation.
We recommend Matt Sealer & Finish for Stone, Grout and Tile by TileLab.
In order to distribute the grout evenly between the tumbled marble, we suggest using a tube or a nozzle.
After grouting, clean the surface with a sponge and water.
A recommended grout to use would be Premixed Tile Adhesive and Grout – Stain and Mildew Resistant.
Maintenance of Fruto Bamboo Tile:
Clean the coconut and bamboo tile as well as their listelli with soap and water.
Do not use acid or abrasive substances.
Clean with a soft sponge and dry after cleaning.
Apply sealant after installation and every three months afterwards.
Special Notes on Fruto Bamboo Tile:
Babacu (pronounced: Babazu’) is a nut from a palm tree that grows in the Rainforest. In North American, the Babacu is known for its application in the cosmetic industry (the seeds are utilized to produce essential oils.)
In Brazil, the fruit has a broader utilization and all the parts of the nuts are not spared. The seeds are used to produce food and oil, part of it is used for animal feedings.
The very hard outer husk, the one you will see in the Fruto Bamboo Tile and the Fruto Resin Tile, is commonly used to make baskets and cups. In the amaZulu listelli, the section of the shell without the seeds is used. We present 2 different ways of utilizing the Babacu in tile. The listello - Fruto Resin Tile, where the shell is inlaid in a resin support (this guarantees a broader usage of the product, as it can be put in wet areas!) The listello - Fruto Bamboo Tile, in which the babacu looks like a little wood flower. In this second case, the empty parts where the seeds were can be normally grouted.
As with any natural products, it presents shade variations. The variation in color must be seen as normal and actually they are the “real beauty” of the product. The tiles appeal to the customers who want to create a different, exotic look in their rooms. It can be combined with the right wallpaper (with Asian patterns or exotic fruits) and décor (bamboo furniture, ceiling fans, etc.).
