Product Description
Tre-Gai Bamboo in it's natural form is a rustic looking bamboo with a dense wall. It is the only species of bamboo that has been approved by the University of Hawaii as construction grade because of its structural integrity and the fact that it is pressure treated. Being a natural product, the color varies slightly in a light tan.
Tre-Gai Bamboo - Natural Specifications:
Tre-gai bamboo has a wall thickness 50-100% of diameter.
Available in 2"-3" and 3"-4" diameter and 10' and 12' lengths.
The nodes are pronounced and rustic, showing a lot of character.
Good resistance to splitting.
Applications of Tre-Gai Bamboo - Natural:
Rustic bamboo structures that require bolting or nailing because the Tre-Gai bamboo has thick walls and less likely to crack or split when pre-drilled.
Also good for rustic trim for tropical themed projects, rustic bar fronts or casual chair rails.
