Designed to deliver fast, reliable connections for multiuser workgroups, the AccelePort Xe multiport serial adapter is a low-priced solution for supporting terminals, printers, modems and other asynchronous peripherals. 

Recommended for point-of-sale, data acquisition, factory automation and industrial control applications, the AccelePort Xe is among Digi's most popular add-in solutions. Equipped with powerful on-board I/O processing to reduce host CPU utilization, and supplied with full modem control and hardware handshaking, the AccelePort Xe easily accommodates the varying connectivity needs of small to medium sized workgroups. 

RS-232 models are available in two-, four- or eight-port models, while the RS-422 models are offered with four or eight ports. The RS-422 solutions enable users to transmit signals over greater distances and at higher speeds than standard RS-232 communications and are generally immune to electrical interference and surges. These benefits make the RS-422 solution a smart choice for industrial and manufacturing applications as well as widespread point-of-sale operations.
