The Digi AccelePort Xr family offers PCI Universal (3.3V & 5V) cards that support RS -232 (Xr 920 models) and RS-422 (Xr 422 models) serial communications. An on-board 32-bit IDT RISC processor delivers high performance with speeds up to 921.6 Kbps. All AccelePort Xr models have a broad variety of operating system support, industry leading on-board surge protection and a wide array of cabling options. 

Their hardware and software features allow AccelePort Xr solutions to fit into a large number of applications in “mission-critical” multiuser environments. They have been found to be ideal solutions in retail/ point-of-sale, hospitality (restaurants/hotels), data collection and remote access applications.
