The new MULTIWAVE 3000 is a microwave platform system with inherent flexibility for various sample preparation applications, designed to reduce the workload between samples and spectrometer.
The intelligent power management of the dual magnetron system MULTIWAVE 3000 delivers unpulsed microwave power over its full 1400 W range. The built-in forced-air cooling system is standard in each MULTIWAVE 3000. It prevents overheating and cools vessels within minutes after the end of a decomposition. Rotors with 16 medium or high pressure vessels are designed for high sample throughput and time saving handling. Reaction temperature can be controlled in the MULTIWAVE 3000 vessels by means of two optional sensors: a reference vessel with immersing temperature probe or a remote IR sensor underneath the oven cavity, which measures each vessel through ports in the rotor base.
Maximum safety is a major benefit of the MULTIWAVE 3000 system. Easy handling, a library of tested methods and sophisticated sensors for reaction control are inherent safety factors. Numerous active and passive safety measures like multiple overpressure release means and protection shields around the reaction vessels protect users efficiently in case of spontaneous chemical reactions. A new design of impact resistant safety door with electrical and mechanical interlocks automatically reseals the cavity after a pressure release action.
