Electron Sources

Product Name: Electron Sources

Product Description

• 100 eV - 5 keV
• < 300 µm to > 10 mm spot size
• > 15 µA beam current
• 60-100 mm working distance

The EKF 300 is a highly versatile 5 keV electron source designed for both static Auger measurements and for use as a flood gun. The spot size can be adjusted down to 300 µm within an energy range from 1 keV to 5 keV at the large working distance of 66 mm. Beam currents in excess of 15 µA can be obtained. Integral X/Y deflection, with a scan range of ±6 mm, makes for easy spot positioning. The dedicated 5 keV Electron Gun Power Supply provides a stable beam current using an emission regulated high stability filament supply. Measurement of the beam current is implemented without biassing the sample, beam position remains constant, irrespective of the kinetic energy setting.
