Product Name: MDA-21 MSE Data Adapter Conditioned Diphase Modem
Product Description
A member of the DRS MDA (MSE/TRI-TAC Data Adapter) product family, the MDA-21 conditioned diphase (CD) modem is an RS-232 to 4-wire conditioned diphase, full duplex modem. This CD Modem, with its standard RS-232 DCE-type interface, enables commercial data devices such as routers and gateways to interface directly to the 4-wire conditioned diphase ports of the MSE Packet Network (MPN). Using the MDA-21 CD Modem, a data device can be located up to 4 kilometers away from its corresponding MPN port. Lightning and EMP protection are built into the MDA-21. The modem also features digital phase-locked loop circuitry to maintain accurate synchronization with the MSE network master clock.
