Burnishing Tools (BR)

Product Name: Burnishing Tools (BR)

Product Description

Burnishing Tools are solid carbide and sharpened on one end with a faceted style cut tip. It is an excellent tool for making shallow cuts, especially when removing plating or coating to expose the metal underneath the coating (such as engraving black oxide coated parts or hard or regular anodized aluminum).

It is an ideal tool for marking exceptionally hard materials such as hardened steel where deep engraving is not required. It can also be used to mark on cast steel parts or through scale to produce a clear and shallow engraved line.

The Burnishing Tool works best when marking depths no greater than .007". The 2" length Burnishing Tools are for use with the Spring Loaded Engraving Tool.
