Product Name: AN/USQ-125(V) Link-11/TADIL-A Data Terminal Set/Link-22 SPC
Product Description
The AN/USQ-125(V) is the only Link-11 Data Terminal Set (DTS) that guarantees
interoperability across all modes of Link-11 communications. The system is a
programmable Link-11 (TADIL-A) DTS providing all required modem and network
control functions in a TADIL-A/NATO Link-11 system using either HF, UHF, or
SATLINK radio communications. The terminal can also be utilized as the Signal
Processor Controller (SPC) in a Link-22 tactical data link system by loading
appropriate Link-22 software into the Link Processor.
The system is available in several configurations to satisfy Single Network,
Dual Network, Single Channel or Multiple Frequency Link (MFL) operations with up
to four channels operating simultaneously. The DTS provides all network and
communication modes of operation in either high or low data rates.
A DRS proprietary feature of the system that supports digital communications
through the wireline/satellite interface is commonly used to support Link-11
communications through satellite, telephone or any other 2,400 bps transmission
media. Another wireline/satellite interface option is the Split-DTS
configuration in which a DTS is located at a main operations center and
interconnected to a second DTS at a remote site (usually a remote radio site)
using a wireline, satellite, or a terrestrial 2,400 bps link. The Split-DTS
appears to the Link-11 network as a single participating unit meeting the
specified system timeouts and eliminating the need for expensive conditioned
audio lines between the remote site and main operations center. The unit
operates irrespective of time delays encountered between local and remote
locations.
