Reliance Water Controls has a long history of providing high quality products to meet the changing demands of the market place and the Auteau® range of self closing controls is the latest advance in the Reliance portfolio of water saving and water control devices.The Auteau® range of self closing controls are particularly suited to hospitals, leisure centres, prisons, factories, public conveniences and anywhere where water conservation, product reliability and anti vandal properties are important. The Auteau® Cartridge System Inside the Auteau® range of self-closing controls is a unique operating system that ensures the continued high performance of the valves, even in difficult hard water conditions. Most, if not all, self closing controls use some sort of controlled bleed from one side of a diaphragm to the other and it is the length of this bleed that determines for how long the control is open and water is running. Most of these mechanisms pass water through a single pin hole in the diaphragm and this system has a tendency to malfunction once scale has built up around or blocked this pin hole, causing water to flow for longer than required, increasing wastage and costs. The Auteau® range of self closing controls uses a unique cartridge system, incorporating a self-cleaning delay case that, instead of a pin hole, uses a groove to pass the water from one side of the diaphragm to the other. The action of actuating the valve pushes a rubber washer down the length of the groove, cleaning away any scale deposits or other build up as it moves. In this way, every time the valve is actuated, it cleans itself, ensuring better performance and longer life. In addition to this, the Auteau® cartridges are also protected by integral strainers to reduce even further the possibility of a reduction in performance of the controls as a result of system contamination. Quality Assured All the Auteau® self closing controls are manufactured to the IS09002 quality control system, conform to European Standard EN 816 (automatic shut off valves) and every single control is performance tested before leaving the factory. The result of all these quality control checks is that customers can rest assured with the knowledge that the Auteau® range of self closing controls can be relied on each and every time. Electronic Controls: - The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 include new requirements for the conservation of water. There is also a growing demand for water and energy saving devices that can be used in the domestic, commercial, industrial, leisure and prison markets. In response to this, Reliance has developed a range of high quality electronic water controls marketed under the brand name Senselec®. These Senselec® controls have been designed and built to meet the exacting requirements of the commercial, industrial, leisure and institutional sectors to achieve minimal maintenance and unparalleled reliability. There are two formats available – touch-sensitive push button types, and infra red sensors. The controller units are either mains powered or battery powered. They are activated by the touch sensitive buttons and send a micro-second long pulse to a magnetic latching solenoid valve. This signal is the instruction to the valve to open for a set period of time, after which the controller will reverse polarity and send another micro-second long pulse instructing the solenoid to close. Any push during this period will automatically close the valve. Senselec® controls can also be used in conjunction with the Reliance thermostatic mixing valves to give complete control over water flow and temperature.
