The Alcatel-Lucent 1677 SONET Link is a powerful, high-density optical bandwidth management platform that incorporates next-generation SONET features and high bandwidth optical networking capabilities. The Alcatel-Lucent 1677 SONET Link lowers cost of ownership by consolidating multiple network functions including SONET add/drop multiplexers (ADMs), digital cross-connects (DCS) and dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) terminals into a single, compact platform. 

The Alcatel-Lucent 1677 SONET Link is a carrier-class system that supports full redundancy and interfaces from DS3 to OC-192 and Gigabit Ethernet, providing carriers with a broad range of service offerings.
